1/7/04 Phoebe came thru her spay with flying colors, and is also now receiving drops to
her ears for a slight yeast infection. She may be an am. bulldog/boxer mix, she is a
compact beauty and looks as if she is wearing mascara or eye liner....very pretty eyes!
Natural ears and tail....
The great news is that Phoebe has found her forever home, or they have found her!!!
She will be going home this Sunday to a very excited family! They have renamed her
Sophie, which seems to suit her just fine. I am practising calling her Sophie and she comes
to that as well ...of course when you are holding her dinner bowl, I think she would
answer to just about anything at all,...so maybe we could call her Hortense or Ethel.??...
She has been a wonderful guest here and has gotten along with the whole cast and crew
of The Upperfield ....she loves children and playing kissy face...is happy to play with the
other dogs and races around the deck with Brody playing tug of war! Her whole body
wiggles at the site of my husband and she will take belly rubbing until the cows come
home.....to sum it up ...she is wonderful and we will miss her!!!
12/29/03 Phoebe has arrived at her foster home. She was picked up by some great
volunteers from a wonderful shelter and driven to her foster home. Phoebe is a stray so
we have no history on her. So far she is nothing but sweet. She was great in the car and
slept like a baby. She snored the whole way home. I think she was happy to be out of the
shelter. Phoebe is a beautiful white girl with natural ears and a natural tail. She has a few
spots on her ears and one on her back. Phoebe is built like a brick house. She is very
strong and solid. Nothing petite about this girl. I would guess her to be around 18 months
to 2, but we will see what the vets have to say. So far she has been great with the kids,
completely cratetrained and very playful. We will update you better as we get to know
her.
