9-22-04 - Rocky arrived here on Sunday. We now call him Little, we have a
resident boxer by the name of Rocky. Little doesn't really answer to the name
Rocky anyway. In fact Little is so active and to busy chasing the residents around
that he doesn't pay any attention to you calling him. He is a real puppy, he just
wants to play, play and play. He will be going to the vet on Friday to get all of his
shots and I will be able to get his correct weight. I'm not quite sure of his
background, but he came to Katierock Lodge very thin with his ribs showing very
much. We are tring to fatten him up, but all he wants to do is play. He goes well in
the crate but doesn't like it much. He does quite a bit of barking. I forgot what it is
like having a puppy again. I feel like I have a toddler around that I have to watch
all of the time. He gets along fine with Rocky as long as I keep Little from chasing
Rocky. He also gets along fine with the Queen Katie. She seems to like him, she
will play with him, but when she gets tired she will go and lay down, while Little
stills has alot of energy, he will bark and bark for her to play. Little is quite a Love
Bug and loves to give you nice big wet kisses. At nite I hook Little to the leg of the
couch and my nine year old will lay on the couch and pet him, then Little will finally
settle down and cuddle with him. Little will need to learn manners and will need
someone who will have a firm hand on training. I beleive once he has found his
forever home and gets some obidence training he will be one great boxer. Look
for more upadates after Friday's vet visit.
