5/24/04 Lexi is doing wonderful. She made her way to the vets on Friday, she was spay
and brought up to date on all her shots. Lexi is heartworm and lime negative as well. Lexi
weighed in at 50 pounds and got a microchip. Because I was going to be away she stayed
at the vet until today. Everyone loved her. She was great with everyone she met even all
the male doctors. We were a little concerned about her liking men but that doesn't seem to
be a problem. Lexi loves kids and is wonderful with them.
Lexi loves to play. I mean loves to play. Lexi likes anything that sqeeks and anything that
resembles a ball. She will play pass forever. Today as I was watching TV I was throwing
the tennis ball for her. She would bring it back and set it on the couch next to me and wait.
She would stare at that ball for 10 minutes without moving until I threw it again. She would
love a kid to play ball with. She will do flips for a toy, climb tall mountains or crawl under
tables. Lexi is a very outgoing, active girl that would like a family to keep up. She is ok
with other dogs even though she really doesn't know how to play with them. She couldn't
figure out what to do when the bulldog puppy had her toy. She followed him around a
while and then decided she better find a toy of her own. The other cute thing that Lexi
does and she will flip anything off her nose. She holds so still and then when you put a treat
or toy on her nose she will flip it into her mouth. I'm sure you can tell we really like this
sweet girl here. She deserves a high energy home where someone will be home alot and
can give her lots of exercise and attention. Are you the home for her?

5/4/04 Lexi continues to do wonderful with myself and my two kids. She loves to play with
the kids and will fetch forever. Lexi did however have some real problems with my
children's dad while I was out of town this weekend. She would not allow him to handle
her at all. She snapped at him when he tried to put a leash on her to take her out. She
would snap at him if he moved to quickly. This is the only man I have seen her around so
far. Lexi had a man in her last home with a heavy hand. I'm not sure how she will react to
anyone else she meets. She continues to do well in her crate, no accidents in the house etc.
Lexi is not putting on weight yet and I feel it is the stress of lossing her family. Lexi is going
to stick around for a while until we have a really good feel for her.

4/29/04 Wow, how 24 hours can change someone. Lexi is out of her shell and full of
herself. A good bowl of food and a night in her crate was all she needed. Lexi loves the
squeeky toy and has been playing with it all morning. She loves to play fetch and brings it
back everytime. Even if she doesn't always give it to you. Lexi knows sit, down, paw and
flips a treat off her nose. Lexi was very sad to see my daughter get on the bus with out her
today. She tried to run out the door after her. Lexi also made sure to let me know when
she needed to go out. She is one great girl. I have not introduced her to the other girls yet
as I don't want to overwhelm her. I'm sure she will be fine. More to come.

4/28/04 Lexi arrived today thanks to Helen for picking her up. Lexi is an owner surrender.
Her owner had to give her up due to some changes in the family. Lexi is a very cute, petite
fawn girl. She has been raised with kids of all ages. And I was told is great with kids. She
is also suppose to be good with other dogs. Unfortunately Lexi is in heat, so it might be a
while before we get to know her true personality. Lexi is a little nervous tonight, she did eat
a great supper. She needs to put on some serious weight. And is very quiet in her crate.
We will update you as we get to know her.
