UPDATED 5/10/04 - Jack is an absolute doll.  He is a big teddy bear all wrapped up in a
cute package.  We have come to understand that Jack LOVES to eat and play with
rocks.  In fact, the other day I had to complete a "rock check" of the living room to make
sure that we had moved all of his findings to the backyard.  There is no rock too big, or
too small for Jack.  In fact, the bigger the better.  We have a boulder (no exaggeration), a
BOULDER in the backyard that he runs outside to "attack". He jumps around and barks
at it, trying to move it around with his muzzel. It is absolutely hysterical!  All of the bricks
that I had neatly aligned around a tree, are now slowly but surely finding their way around
the yard, thanks to Jack.  All the while Rosie is running after whatever she can find.
Usually it is a leaf or a chipmunk!  LOL And I have come to realize that Jack is quite the
guard dog as well.  Last week when a serviceman was attempting to enter the house, Jack
realized that I wasn't around and made it known that he was going to protect whomever
was in the house.  At least we all can rest peacefully! So, all is well in the 2 dog, 1 cat and
baby household!  More to come (I'm sure!) LOL

UPDATED 3/2/04 - It has only been a month, and what can
we say about our little love-bug, better known to some as Jack.  He is an absolute joy.
He is a great snuggler and loves to give sweet, gentle kisses.  Give him a squeeky toy, and
you have made his day!  Our 17mo old daughter adores him!  She constantly goes over to
him, wraps her arms around
him, and gives him hugs.  He has really learned to be patient with her.  And what a clown!
He loves to roll around on his back to sneak in a belly rub or two!  But, watch out when
you have any type of food.  He is a food thief if we ever saw one! And then there is our
cat.  Long term I think that they will be buddies, but right now Meiko is a little bit
confused as to why there are 2 dogs running
around HIS house! Within the past month, we have had to have Jack in for surgery for 2
tumors.
We should know the results of the biopsy later this week, but looking at him, you would
never know.  He is happy as can be, bounding around in the snow-covered backyard,
chasing his ball!  Or better yet, trying to get it back from Rosie! Jonathan and I would like
to personally thank Leann and company for all of their help and support regarding Jack's
surgery.  And thank you to Elizabeth and her husband who were more than willing to help
out with our last minute request for a transport back from the vet in ME.  You have all
been so wonderful and understanding and we are grateful for that. Thanks SCBR for
helping us find the 2 best additions that any family could have asked for!

1/23/04 Jack has been adopted!

1/18/04- Jack is a fawn neutered male with black mask, cropped ears and docked tail
who was regretfully surrendered by his owner with his sister Rosie.  He is very protective
of his little sister so we would like to see them adopted together.  So if you have extra
love and need double boxer kisses put your application in for these two!
