UPDATe 1/11/05 - We have recently found that boxers are a little sensitive to the cold, so to overcome
this dilemma, Flynn's Grammy, who he loves to spend time with, bought him a bright yellow fleece jacket
trimmed with red and featuring a bright blue stripe.  He looks like a race car!  I have never seen anything
cuter in my life.  He still drags me back towards the front of the house on his morning walk AS SOON as
he finishes his business.  He even tries to dart to the door BEFORE he is finished, but mommy won't let
him get away with that!  Flynn has a permanent spot on the couch and if anyone tries to sit in it he has a
special dirty look he throws their way.  One of Flynn's other favorite activities is to sit in front of the fire.
He could do that all day.  Sometimes he sits so close that I have to make him move for fear of him burning
up!  I don't know what I did before Flynn, he brings so much joy to Ryan and my life.  Thanks SCBR!

UPDATE 12/8/04 - Flynn is the greatest friend and silliest little boy in the world.  We have had Flynn for a
few months now and I look forward to coming home every night so that I can be greeted by his wet kisses
and wiggles.  I guess it's nice to see my fiancé too!  So far we haven't had any problems with Flynn, he
has settled in like he has been with us for his entire life.

Some of Flynn's favorite things to do include; licking snow, rolling around on the floor making snorting
noises, playing with his yellow ball that blinks off & on when he thwacks it with his paw, lounging in front of
his gas fireplace (sometimes so close it worries me!), and cuddling with his mom and dad.

UPDATED 11/29/04 - Flynn is the most fantastic dog in the world.  Ryan and I feel so lucky to have him
in our lives.  Although he would bark initially whenever we would leave the house and put him in his crate, I
think that he is learning that we always return.  I am hyper sensitive to that because he was a stray, and
someone did leave him for good.  I think that Flynn is finally getting used to the idea that we love him and
will never leave him.  Some of Flynn's favorite things to do are; snuggle on the couch with mommy, roll
around on the floor making snorting noises, eating greenies, play with his ball that flashes and mill around in
the kitchen when food is being prepared, even though he knows that mommy doesn't like it when he is in
there, and giving lots of wet boxer kisses!

UPDATED 10-5-04 - Flynn is the cutest of cute dogs.  He has the best personality and TONS of love to
give.  Flynn loves to snuggle and wags his nub anytime someone pets him.  He is doing well in his
obedience class and is starting to walk like a champ on a leash.  We haven't had any problems with potty
training or counter surfing; in fact he knows not to beg for food at all.  He will lie near you on the floor and
look longingly at your food, and maybe throw in a big deep sympathy sigh, just for effect.  I have to say
that the sighing is funnier then anything else!
We often see hot air balloons where we live and you should have seen the look on Flynn's face the first
time he noticed one of those!  He heard it before he saw it, the whooshing of the propane filling the balloon
with hot air.  He nearly jumped out of his skin!
I think that Flynn is settling in as if he has always been with us.  I almost can't remember what it was like
without him.

UPDATE 10/1/04 - Hello everyone!  Ryan and I adopted Flynn last month and he is the funniest, cutest,
loveable, and did I mention funniest dog ever.  We had our second obedience class last night and he is
doing very well.  He particularly likes the peanut butter bones he gets while he is there.  Flynn has made
himself right at home and I think that he feels like he has lived with us forever.  Because Flynn was a stray,
Ryan and I try to guess what his former life was like.  One thing we know for certain is that he had a
doorbell at his last place of residence.  We have heard one on the TV a few times and he barks like crazy
and runs to the door.  Poor little guy, we don’t even have a doorbell, so there is never anyone there!
We love to play ball and Flynn is getting very good at playing fetch because we are using the object
exchange principles to teach him.  He also loves ice cubes, hot dogs and visitors.  Flynn is the best dog we
could have asked for and we definitely consider ourselves lucky for having him as a part of our family.

9/9/04 - Flynn has been adopted!

9/1/04 Flynn is settling in nicely here. Unfortuantely since he arrived he has had a very bad cold, so he is
not allowed to play with everyone yet. Flynn is completely cratetrained and housebroken. He will sit on
command, shake paw and is pretty good on a leash. Flynn does not seem to care for the smaller dogs here
but is fine with the bigger dogs. He is great with the kids and very happy to have attention all the time.
Flynn does not like being outside unattended and will bark. He goes out does his thing and wants to come
right back in. All in all Flynn is doing well. We hope he will be healthy enough soon to be neutered and
move on to his forever home.

Flynn arrived today from a local shelter. Flynn was a stray and sadly no one came looking for him. He is a
gorgeous brindle boy with the cutest face ever.  He seems to be super sweet. He was great on the ride
home. Walked right into his crate and ate a great supper. Flynn will meet Dr. Matt on Thursday and have a
nip and tuck done, he will also be microchipped at the same time.
We have not spent much time with him yet so will update you as we get to know him.
