UPDATE 8/24/08 - buddy is doing very good with cajun getting old he wants to play with her
while she sleeps.HAHAHA Buddy is very activie in the morning and then at night he is pooped

UPDATE 2/18/05 - Buddy has lived with us for 6 months now and not a day goes by that we
don't marvel about how lucky we are to have him.  He really reminds us of our last dog that went
to the Rainbow Bridge in July '03.  We think that he is Sadie Lee reincarnated!!!  He even smells
like she did.  We cannot imagine how he would've ended up in the rescue, but lucky for us that
he did.  Fate!

We have finally gotten used to the fact that we will never have a good night's sleep.  Buddy really
makes himself at home in our bed.  We contemplated getting a king-size, but since he needs to be
touching me, I don't think that we should spend our money on that.  He also likes to wedge
himself between me and my husband (he's jealous!).

I love that Buddy cuddles with me on the couch.  He did put several holes in the couch and love
seat, so we will need to purchase some slipcovers or new furniture.  We will need a heavy duty
fabric!  We wouldn't dream of making him sleep on the floor :)

We love the SCBR group, although the e-mails can quickly fill up your mailbox!  We know now
that the bad breath, smelly butt juice and rowdy behavior are part of the boxer "territory" and that
Buddy's normal.  We ADORE him!!!

8/22/04 - Buddy has been adopted!

8-15-2004 - Buddy is a Brindle boy, natural ears and docked tail.  Buddy was rescued from the
newark shelter on Thursday nite. Thanks to Liz. The boys and I were trying to name him.  They
wanted to name him RJ, after one of our previous fosters who was EJ's favorite, Buddy reminds
us all of him ( Roscoe).  But he seemed to answer to Buddy.  When I first met him he was very
skittish, but has become very attached to me.  He is very lovable and cuddly. He just wants to
give everybody kisses.  He doesn't have manners.  I believe with a little training he will be fine.
He very much wants to please.  He met Rocky as soon as he came in the door and they were
fine.  The next day I introduced him to the queen. To my surprise there were not any problems.
He is very submissive.  He immediately started to lick her.  I guess he won her over.  Yesterday
we did have a problem around the food bowl.  Katie only lets Rocky by the bowl.  Buddy now
runs from her when he sees her near the bowl.  He has been sleeping in my room on the dog bed.
Thursday nite when I went to bed, he followed me upstairs, after a few minutes sniffing around, I
said lay down and he went right to the bed and went to sleep.  We had a few accidents
yesterday, but everytime I take him out he goes.  I think he is just nervous and not sure of the
routine here yet.  He doesn't know how to walk on a leash yet, but today we are going to try the
gentle leader and go for a walk. I am a bit concerned about the redness in his eyes and I will be
checking into it. He is one lovable guy and needs a forever home.  He is the cutest guy and just
wants to love you and please you.  SO GET THOSE APPS IN, he will not be here long.
