UPDATE 9/30/08 - Bruno came home from the vet last week after having cruciate ligament repair
surgery on his right knee.  He's doing okay, but I know he must be in pain.  I'm taking good care of him
and hopefully he will be better soon.  I guess there are a lot worse things out there that could happen.  I
need to stay positive and hope for a full recovery.  More later.

UPDATE 9/16/08 - Hello, everyone.  Sorry for the late reply, but it's been one crazy summer for myself
and Bruno.  I moved into a new home in June and I got marred in July.  Things were going great until very
recently when Bruno developed a pretty significant limp in his right hind leg.  We paid a visit to the vet a
couple of weeks ago and we'll be going back tomorrow probably for x-rays.  I'm very worried about this.
He is not even 5 years old yet.  Anyway, when I find out what's going on I will post another update.  Say
a little prayer for the big guy if you would please...

UPDATE 7/30/07 - Remember Bruno?  He continues to be a joy to have around.  He has started to
calm down a little bit, which is good.  He still has a very good appetite and he gets a little spoiled when it
comes to food.  I'm happy to tell everyone that he is in excellent health.  He'll be going on 4 years old by
the end of the year.  The vet says he could lose a couple of pounds, so we're going to work on that.  He
is a very happy boy and he really is a great dog.  He really loves rubber squeaky toys.  It's been a very
hot summer here in upstate NY and he really enjoys the central air conditioning!  More later...

UPDATE 7/29/06 - Just an update to let everyone know who remembers Bruno, the all-white boxer
from Niagara Falls, NY, he has come a long way.  He and his sister, Ginger, are best friends.  He'll be
three this year.  That boy LOVES to eat.  He will eat just about anything.  And when I'm eating something
really good, like a steak, he'll sit by the table and salivate to the point where there's a puddle on the floor.
Then I just have to give him a few bites.  He is so addicted to food it makes me wonder if he was once
deprived of it.  We had a trip to the vet in March for a new heartworm supply and a checkup and
everything looks good.  He's now a whopping 82.6 pounds.  When I adopted him I think he was 54.  He
is nothing but a big baby.  We're currently working on not being crated when daddy's at work.  Most
days it's been good, but we had a mishap yesterday with some more destruction of the couch.  I think it's
Ginger more so than Bruno due to her young age, but I will continue to work on it.  I'll keep everyone
posted.

UPDATE 1/9/05 - Bruno continues to do well here.  He is a handful.  I truly think he is addicted to food.
My sister sent some dog treats wrapped for Christmas and Bruno found them and got into them about a
week early.  He's got a nose like you wouldn't believe.  He had a checkup last week that went very well.
He has had this hard spot on his inner thigh since I got him and I couldn't figure out what it was.  Well,
when I took him in to get it removed it turned out to be a pellet from a pellet gun.  He came from PA and
someone must have not liked him being on their property.  How cold can you be?  I was disgusted.
Anyway, the wound has healed up nicely and it has never seemed to bother him even when it was in there.

UPDATED 10-09-04 - Bruno is doing wonderful.  He really likes chewing things that he's not supposed
to, so I have to keep an eye on him, but other than that he is behaving much better.  He is definitely a
sucker for food and will do anything you want him to if the price is right.  He was just updated on all of his
shots and the vet said he is in good health.  He will be attending his last class in obedience school on
Tuesday night.  When I first got him I had not heard him bark for about two weeks.  Now he won't shut
up!  He loves to bark at the neighbor's dog or anyone else walking by.  That's it for now.

UPDATED 09-06-04 - Bruno is starting to develop some manners.  He now knows how to sit, lay
down, etc., and he is doing much better with not begging for food.  Him and my female Harley play all the
time.  They like to play fight over chew toys and balls.  Tomorrow will be the first night of obedience
class.  That should be interesting.  I'll let you know how it goes.

UPDATED 8/4/04 - Bruno is doing great!  He's had a few accidents, but he's doing much better with
going outside.  He also likes to chew things that he's not supposed to, so we're working on that.  He is full
of energy and him and Harley play constantly!  They have become best friends.  Obedience classes start
on Sept. 7th.  The other day I was getting ready to cook steaks on the grill.  I stepped outside for a
minute and when I came back one of the steak wrappers was on the floor and the steak was nowhere to
be found.  He ate a half pound steak in about one minute flat!  I hope he enjoyed it because it was an
expensive one.  Anyway, I'll tell you more in a couple months.

UPDATED 7/12/04 - When Bruno came home and met Harley it was love at first sight!  They play
constantly with each other.  So far all is going well.  He's had a few accidents, but that's expected.  For
the most part he's doing his business outside.  I think it helps a lot to have another dog that's house
trained.  We haven't started obedience classes yet, but they're coming soon.  The first couple of days here
Bruno took every single one of Harley's toys out of her toy box and played with it for a while, even ones
she hasn't touched in weeks, and now all of a sudden she wants them back.  It's so funny.  They like to
bite each other's ears and legs, but just friendly biting.  I think he'll do just fine here.  It's also amazing how
much he has calmed Harley down when I leave the house, knowing that she's not alone.

UPDATED 7/4/04 - Bruno has been adopted!

7-2-04   Bruno is still very puppylicious, he is so playful and adorable I'll hate to see him go but we must
make room for the next rescue. He loves to play with my 12 week old puppy and boy is that funny to
watch. They are so different in size but the little one always seems to get Bruno down, it's too funny.  I
think Bruno would make a great addition to any home so if you are ready for a cute, loveable pup to fill
your days with fun and excitement, Bruno is the one!

6/13/04 BRUNO HAS BEEN HERE FOR A WEEK NOW AND IS JUST FULL OF HIMSELF.  HE
IS DEFFINATELY ALL PUPPY AT 8 MOS OLD!  HE HAD WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A
URINARY TRACT INFECTION AND THE VET PUT HIM ON ANTI BIOTICS AND HE SEEMS
TO BE DOING WELL!  HE LOVES PLAYING WITH ALL THE OTHER 7 DOGS IN THE
HOUSE AND JUST KEEPS GOING LIKE THE ENERGIZER BUNNY!  SO IF YOU HAVE THE
TIME AND ENERGY BRUNO IS YOUR KINDA BOXER!
