1/7  Bo has been adopted!!! Mr. Bo went home this afternoon to his forever
home. His forever mommy drove all the way from New Hampshire to pick him
up! He will be living with his mom and dad and new boxer sister, who is 4. We
were very sad to see him go, but we are smiling in the comfort of knowing he will
now be in his forever home and loved very very much. We promised to keep in
touch!

12/30  Mr. Bo continues to do better
and better!!! Today he and I spent some alone time together running errands
and riding in the car. He loves the car and is so friendly when people
approach him. The big news is that he gained a whopping, thundering, good
living and loving....10 pounds!!!!!!!! We were all so excited about this!!!
The vet techs were shocked at how great he looks. They were all commenting
on his shiny coat and beautiful red brindled coat!!! I also cleaned up his
fuzzy ears a little so that they are not as bushy..what a difference!! We
have changed his food to Eukanuba so that he and Jake can be on the same
food. It makes eating in this house much easier. Our Jake needs to drop a
few, so it is better that nobody has better or yummier food than the other!!
Bo is a very polite eater, but Jake likes to dominate the eating schedules
in our home. Bo is playing more, loving more..he does not sleep in bed with
us, but he will come up onto the couch and snuggle. He only gets up if when
he knows he has permission. He is just great around our son and some other
little toddlers that have been around. He is very sweet. Sometime in his
life he had love and good training, it is very obvious. He continues to get
healthier and his hair is growing back where he had surgery. He is just
perfect. We are anxious for him to find a forever home because we feel some
boxer lover out there is misssing out on him!!!!!!

12/21 Hi this is BO! I am loving my foster home. Jake and I get along so well and
we are perfect gentlemen when left home alone together.  We wrestle a little bit in
the house, but I don't want to scare little Sebastian, so I prefer to play outside with
Jake.  Foster mom and dad love me. They are always telling me how well
behaved and sweet I am. I feel so much more at home and relaxed. I have a full
belly and I guess I have gained a few pounds and mom and dad keep telling me
how shiny my coat is.  They also have been talking a lot about my hair that has
been growing back nicely on my back from my surgery. I don't care much about
that because I am so comfortable.  I have been talked to a few times about
jumping up when I get excited, Jake never does that, so I guess I should not do
that either! Foster mom and Dad's friends stopped by today to meet me, and I
over heard them saying that they thought I was so sweet and very very smart. I
don't want to leave my foster home, but I do feel like I need to start my new life. I
am so ready to give lots of boxer love and wiggles to a special family!!
12/15  Well Mr. Bo is still an angel!! He and Jake have had no problems staying
home together. We had to leave a few times this weekend and they were perfect.
The only thing that has happened since his arrival was I found an empty soap
wrapper and could not find the soap!! Well finally, I found it later that day!! They
had eaten it and both thrown up! They also had bubbles coming out of their
mouths and jowls after they were drinking their water..very nice breath, but I am
sure it was an awful taste!!! Other than that, he is a true angel. It seems as if he has
always lived in our house. We have had a few people stop over to visit him and
they love him. He is so friendly. He looks like he is putting on weight and his coat
looks very shiny! He sleeps so well at night and usually wants to go out around 7
or 7:30 in the morning. He has been eating about 3 times a day until the vet feels
he can slow down a little on the food. He loves to take walks and he and Jake
wrestle very little in the house, they really save it for outdoors. He is not a licker,
but if you rub his jowls he will lick your face a few times very gently. The crate
was a nightmare for Bo, so for the meantime, we have banned it. Bo really hopes
to sing "I'll be home for christmas!", and we hope that his forever family will find
him soon.

12/10 You might say that Bo is like a fine wine, he gets better each day!! This is a
dog that should have never been in a shelter, nor should he be in the physical
condition he is in. He is a perfect gentleman. We hope our Jake will take some
lessons from him. He takes treats so gently, he plays gently, he walks proud..he
looks at us all of the time as to say, "you'll never know how grateful I am !".
12/9/03  Day #2 on "Boxer Island" with this sweet gentle boy. We are calling him
"Bo" rather than Rambo!!!  He saw the vet today and checked out with a very
healthy bill...just needs to gain some weight. She also felt he was about 5, we were
surprised because while he is quite calm, he has energy when he is outside! They
all loved him there and even called me later and told me how sweet he is. He let
the vet check him thoroughly, and was very comfortable with her. He weighs 55
lbs, could use about 15 more.
He loves his food, and has not shown any food aggression at all. The only barking
he has done is when he is in his crate..so last night I spent the night with him in the
living room. He will now use his doggy bed and join us in our bedroom. He just
wants human companionship! That is the perfect word for him, he is such a great
companion, and loves to nap and ly around with Jake. He was great with
Sebastian, our son, today and has been very at ease. He acts as if he has been
here for a long time. We hope that someone with lots of love will find him as
irresistable as we do!!!!

12/8/03 Greetings from Boxer Island..we picked up Rambo this afternoon from
the SPCA, they were sad to see him go! Less than 12 hours later and he is doing
great!!! Talk about a people dog, he loves to sleep on my lap. No problems
acclimating there!  He was a sad case of a stray that was picked up and not cared
for. He is a handsome brindle neutered male, with a gorgeous stature, cropped
ears (very cropped!!), and a docked tail. He would be a great weight around 65,
but right now we are guessing he could be under 50.  He really needs some weight
on him! He and Jake and are getting to sniff eachother, but Rambo wants either
my husband or I near by. He went into his crate for a couple of hours, wasn't
crazy about it, but went in with a little coaxing. He is EXCELLENT on a leash,
and listens to every command that I have given him!

We have to see the vet, and talk about the few lumps that he had removed. We
were told that they were NOT cancerous. Tomorrow we will introduce him to our
2 1/2 year old son, Sebastian, and see how he acts. He was very friendly with a
little 3 year old who was at the SPCA this afternoon. This guy would be perfect
for some great boxer lover who could give him some TLC and a nice loving home.
