11/25/04 - A.J. is doing fine at his foster home. He has gained a lot of weight since he came in
& is up to about 75 lbs. A.J. seems to get along fine with people and cats, but dogs, especially
strange dogs, he is not so good with. Even the pack he is in [4 other dogs] he has a problem
with at times. He would be good to go to a home with no dogs. A.J. can be a little grumpy at
times, so he would be best too in a home without kids. When he gets too grumpy, his foster
Dad tells him not to be that way and does not make a big deal out of it & AJ seems to get over
it quickly. He is pretty much a well behaved dog. He does have to go pee every couple hours
as he drinks a lot of water. We had that checked out & everything came back normal-no
explanation other then he really likes water! :) A.J. follows his foster Dad around like a puppy
and loves getting all the attention he can. He is never destructive in the house and loves to go for
walks. Do you have a spot in your home for this cat loving, older boy who just wants to be
your buddy?
7/7/04 - A.J. was picked up at one of the shelters we work with, along with Charlie this past
Saturday. He is a bit skinny at 51 lbs & needs 15-20 lbs more on his frame. A.J. is a 10 yr old
male who has not been altered yet, july 16 is his day to visit the vet. He is a good looking fawn
with grey around the face. his ears are cropped & his tail has been docked. He is currently on
antibiotics to knock out a respitory infection. He also has a small growth on his forehead that has
to be removed when he visits the vet next week. Because of his infection he is a bit under the
weather right now but he is still a great companion! He is a very attentive, very smart guy.
Don't let that age fool you-this guy has a long life left! He is a steal! Pictures will follow in
couple of days.
