8/16/03 - Ty is doing very well here already. He met my 3 cats today & after being told by
one of them that they rule the roost, he has been perfectly fine with them. I also introduced Ty
to my 2 dogs & he was great with them too. All he wanted to do is play with them & my
boxer Sandi did play with him some tonight. We were told Ty had some issues with food &
other dogs so I will be watching for that once he has had a little more time to adjust.
Ty did great in his crate last night for bedtime, he barked a little but settled down after a little
while. He goes into his crate easily for a treat & did fine crated when I had to leave him to
work for a few hours today. This is one great boy so you had better hurry as Ty won't be
around long!
8/15/03 - Ty arrived today thanks to Terry M. & Janice D. for helping get him in a day early.
Ty is a very large dark brindle 11 month old boy with a docked tail & natural ears. He is an
owner surrender because his owner's fiance really was not a dog person & even though Ty
was young when he got him, she was still not comfortable around a big dog.
Since Ty made it here late tonight I just gave him some water, food & a little reassurance that
everything is okay (he's been trying to get IN my lap for cuddles since he got in the car for the
ride home!). I then tucked him into his crate for the night so he can settle in.
Poor Ty has already had 2 homes in his very short life, so we are looking for his new home to
be his permanent one. Watch for more updates as I get to know Ty better.
