10/16/03 It has been a while since I have told you about Simba so there is a lot to tell.
This girl is really sweet and continues to amaze us everyday. Simba started obedience
training two weeks ago and has made some great progess learning to walk on a leash
with the gentle leader. At first she really didn't want any part of the gentle leader training
but like everything she got used to it and walks much better on a leash now. Simba
really impressed us last night when someone came to the door she greeted them very
nicely without Jumping on them. We are so proud of her progress she is really trying
hard to please us. Simba has a new friend who she loves to play with. Willow is a 5
month old husky mix puppy that can match Simba's energy, these girls play in the yard
till they drop. Simba gets along well with the other dogs in the house too but they don't
share her enthusiasm for endless playing. Simba has turned out to be a really super girl
with a lot of love to give. She is a one of a kind with lots of personality. If you think
Simba is the girl for you get that application in right away.
9/25/03 Simba has been here for a little over a week and adjusting well. She is
recovering from her spay surgery. She is a very smart girl and is learning quickly. She
has adapted to sleeping in a crate and goes in well for a treat. She loves to run and play
in the yard with the other residents here. She is a lively girl but has responded well to
learning to stay down. One of her favorite things to do now is cuddle in your lap on the
couch. She is making great strides and is so smart I can't wait to start her in obedience
class on Sunday. If you want a lively little (ahummm....big) love bug in your life Simba is
your girl.
9/17/03 Hi all, I would like to introduce Simba our latest foster girl. She is two years
old and a large size girl as you can see. She is an owner surrender who said she is not
quiet a full boxer as you can tell, but she makes up for her lack of genes with her
personality. Simba is very energetic, but also very sweet. She is having the time of her
life playing and running with Lewis in the yard. Simba will need some work on her
manners but she is super enthusiastic to learn and have any attention you might throw
her way. We will take her to the vets for her nip and tuck surgery and then she will be
good to go. Watch for more Simba updates.
