PAX

UPDATE 11/27/04 - Well Pax is doing wonderful here and settling nice since it has
been a year that we have had him!!  Wow time flies when your chasing a wild boxer
who gets into everything!!!  We have started letting him and scooby off leash in the
yard to play with a Austrailian Shepherd that is about a year old same as pax.  They
just run laps around the house until Pax can't run any more.  He still gets into
everything that is not nailed down.  HE does love Scooby though he sleeps ON Top
of Him, yes right on him.  He tends not to look where he is sitting and will sit on
anything including your head if your laying on the couch.  He is quite the character
and we love him.
UPDATE 8/2/04 - Tell us how your new Boxer is doing=Well Pax is doing very
well and is acting like he has always been here.  Of course he is getting into the
puppy stuff and you never know what you will find in his mouth.  As I am writing this
he is laying on the floor next to me.  He is very sweet and lovable, he now goes in
his crate on his own for bedtime.  And man can this little guy play.  We also just
completed his dip treatments for the mange and his hair is starting to grow back.  He
is not fond of the baths but will tolerate them.

UPDATE  6/23/04 - Well as Pax started shedding out for the summer we noticed
alot of dry skin and hair loss so when my horse vet showed up I had her take a look
at it and she did a skin scrapping and determined that it was the Demodex mange
back again.  I am assuming that we stopped the meds too soon as the hair growth
was probably winter hair coming in.  she is getting me the dip and a special shampoo
for him.  we will probably go to the revolution treatment after that just to make sure
he is all set.  other than that he is the typical get into everything boxer pup.  Who is
quite full of himself.  I have to say he just Loves scooby and on occasion will even
give Vegas my 3 year old horse kisses of course that is when the horse lets him.  He
is not around the horse that much but once in a while we introduce them through the
gate.  Pax is very easy going and boy does he love to play no matter who it is
with!!!!!  But when the day is done he is always found laying on top of poor
Scooby.    He is great and hopefully will stop chewing everything in site.

UPDATED 4/25/04 - Well I would like to tell you that Pax is doing great here with
us.  He is quite the character and makes us laugh all the time.  HE is finally going in
on Tuesday for his neuter and will be accompanied by he friend Harley which is the
Austrailian Shepherd here on the farm.  They are about the same age and love to
play together.  I am sad to say that he is back on his meds for mange as when he
shedded out it all came back.  but he is such a good boy and him and his brother
Scooby get along so good, you hardly ever see one without the other.  Infact very
often Pax lays on top of Scooby.  We love him despite the very trying times when I
would look at him and tell him if he didnt straighten out he was going to find himself
on a bus back to rescue.  LOL!!!  I guess he understood.  He definately had us
thinking that we were not cut out for puppies anymore.  But we have all gotten
through that and we Love him.
