UPDATE 12/7/04 - Missy is such a loveable dog. She is
very dominate when meeting other dogs especially females but always makes
friends. Her and Harley get along fantastic, they play very rough at times
and you'd never know that Harley out weighs her by 30 lbs. She is such a
peanut but thinks she is also 70lbs. She loves to lay on her back and let
Harley drag her around on the floor with a rope in each of their mouths,
it's a riot to see.
She still has to go in her crate everyday while we are at work. She has
separation anxiety even with Harley there with her.
She loves to cuddle and nibble, and absolutely loves to sleep in in the
morning. She is such a joy to have in our family. She truley is a perfect
fit. Thank you.
11/28/03 - Missy has been adopted!
Hi guys, I'm home from the doctor, I had to stay overnight, phew, glad be home. I'm still
feeling a bit weak and tired and that crazy other dog, Tigger he just wants to play. To
make things worse I have to wear this stupid thing on my head cause I want to clean my
scars!!! Why don't these humans understand??? The doctor removed two of my teets
cause he said they are tomorous or something so they are sending them out to be tested-I
hope it's nothing serious. I hear they should get results in a few days. Oh, and some nice
lady (Holly) called my foster mom to see if I would be good with her cats. She said I
have been with the two cats here and I don't really bother them unless they run around - I
just want to play!! ;) Well, what we do during the day won't hurt anyone - hehehe. Just
kidding. I hope she comes to visit so I can show her how sweet I am!!! Most of the time
they crate me when they're not at home, cause I'm not fully house trained, but I think I'm
getting it. I guess I'll go jump up on the couch and cuddle with my mom now. I'll see you
guys soon. Missy
11/16/03 Hello all, Missy goes in tomorrow for her spay. She will also have her head
checked as well as her nipple. I don't think it's anything serious but I'll let the vet be the
judge of that! She has been here about a month and really seems to get along great and
has ajdusted great. She still tends to get scared and cowers a little. But she is a puppy still
and does puppy things that tend to get her into trouble so when she is repremanded, I
think she thinks she's going to get hurt still. Hopefully she will grow out of it. Overall she is
a great puppy but will need lots of attention and training following her adoption. She can
be quite a handful. Even Tigger gets pooped out after playing!! And he's a trooper when
it comes to rough housing around. Everyone who sees her just adores her - she's so
loving and she is sooooo petite when she justs on you she is gentle. Although she did give
Brian a fat lip the other day (shhhh)- she just and he didn't expect it abnd got him right in
the lip!! Oooops!!! And tomorrow she gets to go to the vet in our new car- first doggy in
the new vehicle- I hope all goes well or I'm in big trouble, I'm sure she'll be a little angel.
11/5/03 Well Missy has finally settled in, she and Tigger have become buddies, as usual
Tigger acts like the big brother and takes those chicks under his paw!!! Anyway she
much more comfortable around people, but still seems to cower slightly. She likes to raise
her paw up at you when you walk by as if to say "hey I'm right here-love me" it's really
cute but sometimes in hurts. She is going in to be spayed on the 17th of November. The
vet will also take a look at the spot on her head, although it seems to look better. And she
has a lump around one of her nipples which he will look at as well. Other than that she is
extremely loving and playful, definitely still a puppy, we are working on "no accidents" but
it's taking longer than usual, something to be said about her past I suppose. She can't
seem to stay away from the trash either, but most dogs are like that- I guess we got lucky
with Tigger. And intrigued by the cats- but means no harm at all. We haven't put her in a
crate since the second day she was here, she trashes around and hurts herself so we
opted to avoid -seems like she may have spent the majority of her time there before so
we really didn't want to hamper her trust issues. Now we just get her spay and fatten her
up a bit and she'll be ready to make a wonderful addition to any family!!!
11/4/03 Oops! We forgot Missy's update! Missy is doing very well at her foster home.
She will be spay and brought up-to-date on Wednesday, 11/12. From her foster mom:
"She's doing good. Feels more comfortable - running around playing with Tigger and
chasing the cats!!!! She's doing fine now in her crate."
More updates to come!
