08/25/03 - UPDATED - Once again we have brought a new "Love" into our house. We never
expected such a gentle/lovable little girl to ever grace our presence. Ellie has taken to our family
in a heartbeat. We have three children ages 6 - 10, and she mothers all of them, along with our
boy-boxer Sydney (adopted July/2002 - aka:Doug). She continues to grow and play and learn
about the fun she didn't know was there for the taking. We had recently lost our 13 y.o. female
- Roxanne to cancer, and we were hoping for a connection with a new girl for our home. Ellie
has definitely made it !! She was a bit shy at first, but now she has my husband howling on the
floor because she won't let him up for air while she kisses him non-stop. She is the most
graceful dog I have ever seen, and comes right up to us know for hugs and kisses. She really
seems to have bonded with Sydney. They sleep/eat/and play together all day long. She has
learned how to box, and only uses it once in a while, but she will run circles around Syndey
when they get going in the back yard ! She is a beautiful girl with a beautiful soul. She has most
definitely found her forever home.
7/27/03 Ellie has been adopted.
7/26/03 Ellie is pending adoption!
7/20/03 Ellie is doing wonderful. She has really learned to trust that she can trust people. She
now can't wait to have a good boxing match during playtime. She also enjoyed her trips to The
Canine Clubhouse for doggie daycare. She is very sweet and eager to please. Great with cats,
dogs and children. She has finally showed interest in learning how to play with toys, although
she must admit, bones are her favorite pastime, except for a good cuddle. Ellie can't wait to
meet her forever family so get your application in!
6/30/03 Hi everybody its me, Ellie. Every time I hear somebody at the door I think its my
forever family. Gretchen and I are gonna go to our forever family together. I keep hearing our
foster Mom tell us we are going to be really happy when we finally get to settle down with our
new family but I am a little nervous because my life has been so full of changes recently. How
will this forever family know that all I want to do is make them happy and give them kisses? I
am so gentle and love when my foster mom cuddles with me. Sometimes I get scared when I
hear loud noises or meet new people Gretchen shows me what to do. My foster family is
teaching me how to play with toys, I just am not quite sure what to do with them. Our foster
Mom took all five of us for a few rides in the truck this week and it was so much fun. Its time
for bed around here. sweet dreams and I hope to hear from my forever family soon!
06/15/03 Gretchen and Ellie arrived safely today and have settled right in. The act like they are
old friends with our three boxers and show some interest in the cats, but no aggression. It’s
a beautiful day and the entire boxer bunch is running around the pool and playing fetch. Ellie is
a little timid and very gentle. I am sure she won’t be timid much longer. Gretchen is not
shy and can’t wait to play. We will fill you in just as soon as we get to know the pair a little
better. Gretchen and Ellie will be adopted together. I know they can’t wait to get to their
forever home to fill your life with lots of love. Are you ready for them? Spay for both is
scheduled for 06/23/03…talk to you soon!
