11/8/03 Cooper has been adopted!
11/4/03 Cooper continues to do excellent here at his foster home...the big question is
"Why is he still here?" This boy has everything going for him!!! He is young, good
natured, playful, likes other dogs, loves kids, very obedient, very healthy and just an all
around great boy!!!
Coop has discovered the toybox...he loves squeaky toys and rope toys and balls and
marrow bones and nylabones and takes out every single toy and strews them all about the
house in an effort to give his foster mom the exercise she needs!! Isn't he wonderful? By
the time I pick up all the toys(there must be a hundred of them!!!) I know I've lost a few
pounds! How can you beat that? Much cheaper then the gym!!!
He has been introduced to our alpha male, Rocky III, with a bit of posturing and a lot of
noise!!! Rocky has decided that this young pup is harmless and would like to play....
Cooper isn't quite sure what to think at this point. Rocky plays rougher than Cooper does.
Cooper is showing a very healthy amount of respect for Rocky and waits to gauge Rock's
mood before roughhousing with him. Smart dog!!!
Cooper and Brody play together very nicely. Although poor Brody, who is a very mellow ,
laid back kinda fella, will beg to get away from Cooper after a while....Cooper is bigger
than our "big boys" and hasn't really grown into his size yet!!!
This xtra large size boxer boy is just waiting for a forever home!! He would fit very nicely
anywhere, even tho he is a big boy...because he minds well and loves to go for walks on a
leash.. apply now if you think he would fit your lifestyle!!!!
10/27/03- This big guy is doing great!! He loves kids, however, is so large that he has
knocked my little guy down a few times trying to play. Jake is kinda used to big
dogs....but, I think that children under four would not be a good idea for Cooper. He is
such a puppy still.
When being walked he will do his business very promptly and then wants to play tug with
his leash. He minds very well and is good as gold when he needs to be in his crate. The
only bad habit that I have found is that he likes to jump up...and considering his size it can
be quite overwhelming. He will get "off" when told. It is easy to tell that his former owner
has spent much time and attention on him. He has been well loved and it shows!!!
He has been introduced to our big boy Brody and all went well. So now playtime for
Cooper is much easier on us humans! Cooper has considerably much more energy then
poor Brody and after a while Brody looks at us as if to say"make him stop!" Cooper is so
handsome and very sweet...A typical boxer "youngster" who still needs to grow into his
large frame. He is all ready to go to a forever home and is going to be a wonderful
companion!!! Get those applications in quickly for this great guy!!!!
10/26/03- Cooper was excellent in his crate all night...not a peep out of him! He has meet
our big boy Brody on a leash and thru the crates and tails they are a waggin'...He and
Brody will meet face to face today on the deck(with leashes on of course!) and maybe get
a little playtime. Cooper is a very smart and obedient boy. His former owner has done a
very good job with his training. Because of his size he will need immediate training when he
goes to his new home to open up the communication with his new owners....Are you
looking for a handsome, smart, xtra large boxer boy? Don't miss out on this guy!!!!
10/25/03- Cooper has arrived at The Upperfield,...he is a handsome boxer in xtra large
size...So far he has checked out the perimeters of the property and nosed around the
house a bit....We will wait until tomorrow to introduce him to the residents and guests. He
appears to be slightly dominant...we will find out tomorrow when he meets the top dog. He
has had a bite of supper, played on the porch a bit and
he is now resting in his crate after his very long day....More to come on this handsome
boy!!
