UPDATED 8/8/04 - Chunky is a valued member of our family. He continues to amaze and
reveal more different sides of his personality to us every day. He loves and protects every
member of our family,he is also curious of everything that comes onto our property. I believe
he thinks that the dirt road that goes by our house belongs to him, because he challanges
anything and anyone who passes by with a big hardy bark. Chunky is a play-aholic and loves
to play with his toys any chance he gets, but also has his couch potato days. He also loves to
sleep on the deck and or on the front porch in the sun. In the winter he loves to nap in front of
the wood stove which he has to share with the cats. We adoted another cat in June, Chunky
did not seem to have any issues with it. We had more trouble between the cats themselves
then Chunky. But every once in a while he loves to let the cats know who is boss around this
house. He loves to ride with me in my truck and sit in the passenger seat and watch
everything going by. Chunky still has issues with groups of more than 10 or 12 people at a
time, I believe it is just people overload for him and we continue to work with him on this
problem. Otherwise he is doing fantastic and is in good health

UPDATED 3/24/04 - Just thought I would drop you a note to let you know how Chunky is
doing. I
took him to the Vets the other day to get started on his heart worm for this year. The Vet
checked him over and said he was doing great. She was very pleased with how well Chunky
was doing. He has put on some weight but nothing she was concerned about.  I do not know
if I have sent this picture before. Chunky's dad

UPDATED 2/9/04 - Chunky is doing very well. He has settled in and made a home for
himself.Chunky and the cat have come to an agreement and we now have very few problems
when it comes to those two. All in all he is doing very well here and has somewhat taken over
the house as can be seen in the attached photo. Catch you all later.Chunky is doing very well.

UPDATED 11/9/03 - Chunky has become a part of our life and the life of our family. He
continues to do well. He loves to see our daughter stop by with our grandson. He allways
give our grandson Justin a big kiss when he arrives and he gets a good back scratch from our
daughter. Sadly though our Cock-a-poo who was 14 years old crossed over the rainbow
bridge in October.

10/8/03 updated - Chunky continues to do very well, obedience training is going well, we
only have two lessons left.  Chunky and the cat Moose have apparently come to a mutual
agreement and give each other their own space, most of the time. Catch you all later.

09/08/03 - UPDATED - Chunky is doing great. He has become a member of our family
without any problems. He loves to ride with me in my truck and wants to go everywhere I
do, but sometimes that is not posible. We got him licensed Monday in the town where we
live. We also start obedience traning this Saturday the 13th.
Catch you all at the next update. Chunky's Dad; Bob

8/16/03 Chunky has been adopted!

8/7/03 Chunky has been with us for almost a week now and is fitting in nicely. He is a very
sweet boy. He has taken awhile to warm up to my husband and I, but instantly fell in love
with my nine year old son. He really does not like to go in the crate but is fine once he is in
there. Luckily he is very well behaved though so I am able to leave him uncrated except at
night.Several times I have left him in the family room when I had to leave the house and he
does not seem to have a distructive bone in his body. I think he may not be used to getting a
lot of attention because he is content to go off by himself alot. He really seems surprised when
we call him over to us just to pat him. Its almost like he is thinking , do you really like ME?
are you sure? Given a little love and attention I have no doubt Chunky will be the most loyal
devoted boy in the world.

8/1/03 Chunky has arrived and he seems like a wonderful boy. He is three years old and kind
of small. There is definatly nothing chunky about him. He is somewhat nervous and restless
but I'm sure that will change after a couple of days. He is already showing us that he has a
playful side that I am sure we will see even more of when he settles in. So far he has only met
the other dogs through the crates but it seems like he would love to play with them. Chunky is
a great boy and I am sure he will be adopted very quickly.
