UPDATE 9/19/06 - Well, Duke has been with us for a month now. We just love having
him! He is so funny and so sweet! When he isn't sure what we want him to do he'll just
give you his paw. He is a little too interested in the cat right now. Poor guy just can't
figure out why this "little dog" doesn't want to play with him! One thing we've noticed
about him is that he doesn't like to eat or do his business unless someone is right there
watching him. I've heard people say that their dogs are like velcro, well, let's just say that
VELCRO would be a great name for this guy. He follows us everywhere and has to be
touching one of us most of the time. We couldn't have asked for a better guy!
9/20/03 Bruno's been adopted!
9/11/03 Bruno is pending adoption.
9/6/03 I have to tell evryone how much of a little sweetheart Bruno is.
He is the most cuddly, effectionate boxer I've had the pleasure to have in my home. He
loves anyone he meets and is not overbearing on them. He is so petite that if if does jump
up on you it is quite welcoming, it's like a small child giving you a gentle hug.
He gets along very well with my four other dogs, I have a very small dog also, so if you
have one like that you can be shure that it wouldn't be a problem. He has not been tested
with cats but knowing his personality I bet he would be fine with that.
Bruno is very much a people dog, he loves to be around a human at all times. He likes to
sit close and touch you and if you like getting big boxer kisses he is your boy!
Bruno LOVES children he likes to lay in their beds at night and cuddle with them on the
couch.
He is not a barker, He barked one time while he was in the house and I was very
surprised, hasn't said a peep since.
I can't say enough good things about this little guy, he truely is wonderful!
We are working hard on the potty training and he IS getting better. I put him out frequently
during the day so he does know that is where he is supposed to go.
If your looking for a gentle little boxer with lots of love to give give us a call.
We have a new visitor here at the Boxer Beach House, his name is Bruno. He is the
sweetest little guy, and I mean little. He is full grown but the size of a young boxer.
The first day he was here he was stressed from the long ride from Virginia, thats were he's
from. I have four dogs myself and he had to figure out where he was in the pact. He
knows now he's at the bottom. It took a good two days for all of them to get used to each
other, on the 3rd day he and my boxer were playing like old friends. He loves to give
kisses and to be doted on. He is very affectionate and loving. when I sit down on the
couch he jumps right up and makes himself comfortable, he's small enough to curl up on
your lap. He is wonderful with my 2 girls, very gentle and patient. We have not heard him
bark yet, he will see people outside and my other dogs bark but he doesn't seem to be
fased by it.
He loves to ride in the car, he lays down in the back seat and relaxes, very calm. He
knows that his tinkle belongs outside and he will go when I take him but I have caught him
a few times marking in the house. I have a little guy who has peed in certain areas so
Bruno is smelling it and doing the same. We don't kmow his backround, he may not ever
have been properly potty trained so it's like starting from scratch with him.
More updates to come.
